Green, Savits & Lenzo filed a lawsuit on behalf of Rose Marie Iskowitz asserting claims of pregnancy and disability discrimination against her former employer, Myriad Genetics. Specifically, the case involves allegations that Myriad fired Ms. Iskowitz the day after she told them that her doctor had ordered her to go on modified bed rest due to pre-term contractions (which was also four days before Christmas). Ms. Iskowitz contends that Myriad should have provided her with the reasonable accommodation of a leave of absence until her daughter was born.
