About the 2026 NELA-NJ Employment Law Conference

The 2026 NELA-NJ Employment Law Conference promises to be an exceptional gathering of employment law professionals. NJSBA President Christine Amalfi will participate, and the conference will include a powerful Courageous Plaintiff segment featuring a team of Washington, D.C. attorneys currently representing a DOJ whistleblower.

Adding to the day’s significance, keynote speaker Michael Kutcher (twin brother of actor Ashton Kutcher and a nationally recognized voice on disability inclusion and resilience) will address attendees. The conference will also include a networking lunch and cocktail reception, providing valuable opportunities to connect with leading employment lawyers from across New Jersey.

Jon Green’s Panel: Mastering the Courtroom

Jon Green will join a panel of seasoned trial attorneys for an in-depth discussion on employment trial strategy. The session, titled “Mastering the Courtroom: Advanced Approaches to Trial Advocacy,” will be moderated by Evan Goldman, a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, and will bring together diverse perspectives from plaintiff-side, defense, and personal injury trial experience.

During the 45-minute panel, beginning at 10:00 am, Jon will share insights drawn from his extensive background in employment trials, with a focus on practical, real-world strategy.

Topics will include:

  • Jury selection
  • Crafting effective opening statements
  • Direct and cross-examination techniques
  • Strategic use of documentary evidence
  • The art of summation
  • How modern influences, such as social media and popular legal television shows, shape jury perception and trial advocacy

Designed to be both candid and educational, the panel will highlight lessons learned not only from courtroom successes but also from cases that didn’t go as planned. Attendees can expect an engaging, experience-driven conversation that offers valuable takeaways for employment law practitioners at every stage of their career.
